Here are the cliff notes on me - I'm 40 years young, a wife, mother, and spent the past 18 years in the corporate world in communications and marketing before diving into digital marketing. I've been living in Orange County, California for the past 5 years. I acquired the name Sal after trekking through Istanbul. My sassy attitude landed me an alter ego and subsequently she was named Sal.

Right after my 39 birthday, I had what I'm calling a 'mid-life crisis'. I asked myself, what the heck am I doing with my life? I wanted a life beyond the corporate grind.

For 18 years, I worked at the same organization. It was easy. And by easy I mean, I knew what to expect, I knew the players, I knew my role, and I had a steady income. For years, I imagined starting a business where I was my own boss. I wanted time back in my day. I wanted to be more present with my family and not miss the important things my daughter had going on. What I really wanted? Freedom. Financial freedom, creative freedom, and lifestyle freedom. I imagined sunny mornings at a café, working on my laptop, and afternoons spent with my family. But that was nothing more than a daydream.

Then something changed. I knew I needed to take a leap. I learned the skills to create my own online business. And I did it. I'm proud of it. I'm proud of myself.
